Onboarding Documents

Welcome to the College of Charleston!

We are so pleased that you will be joining our College community.  The Office of Human Resources is available to assist and support you throughout the onboarding process, and a key component of that process is completing the required documentation to successfully begin your employment here.

This documentation may be completed and submitted in one of two ways:

  • Completed electronically and submitted/scanned to your Human Resources representative, on or before your first day of employment.  Please send all documents containing social security numbers and/or financial data via a secure e-mail.
    • Faculty and Adjunct Faculty should e-mail electronic and/or scanned copies of completed forms to Criss Nance (nancecd@cofc.edu), Academic Employment Coordinator. 
    • Staff should utilize the People Admin portal to complete electronic forms, as directed by the College's recruiters.
  • Presented in-person to a representative from Human Resources, on or before your first day of employment.
    • The Office of Human Resources is located in the basement (Suite B36) of the Harry M. Lightsey Center, 160 Calhoun Street in Charleston.  Feel free to call our main line at 843-953-5512, if we can help with directions.
