Dee graduated from the College of Charleston after spending much of her youth as a "military brat." After graduating she held a variety of positions, and finally secured a position at the College in the Office of Human Resources in 1997. Since then she has worked in various roles in human resources and was promoted to associate director in 2000. Sue moved to Charleston from Boston with her family 20 years ago and has never regretted it. She began working at the College in 2001 after working for a small, international book publishing company for seven years.
