Employee Assistance Program

The Deer Oaks Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free service provided by the College of Charleston that offers a wide variety of counseling, referral, and consultation services. The programs are designed to assist employees and their families in resolving work/life issues in order to live happier, healthier, more balanced lives. These services are confidential and can be easily accessed by calling the toll-free Helpline (1.866.327.2400). Deer Oaks EAP Services is here for you, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. more information can be found under Benefits/Employee Assistance Program. Access the website Login page. Aging and Disability (SC Access - Aging and Disability Information)

A program of the Lieutenant Governor's Office on Aging, SC Acess has information, resources, support groups and much more. All of the searches, including the calendar can filter by county. There is also some childcare information available. 

Campus Resources (check Yammer)

  • Benefits Fair 
    • Generally occurs prior to Benefits Open Enrollment to give employees the opportunity to talk to vendors and make decisions about any benefits enrollment changes. HR invites health providers, Optional Retirement Vendors, the State Retirement system and an array of other health and wellness vendors. Prizes and more prizes for employees who attend.
  • PEBA Perks
    • It’s always better to address a health issue before it becomes a health crisis. Take advantage of these value-based benefits at no cost to you. PEBA Perks are available to State Health Plan primary members at network providers and pharmacies. These benefits can help make it easier for you and your family to stay healthy.
  • Campus Recreation (sponsor bowling, softball, volleyball, noon activities, etc.)
  • Johnson Gym (free)
  • George Street Fitness Center -  payment to Marketplace

  • Human Resources sponsored workshops (examples: Women's Health, Caring for the Elderly, Reducing Holiday Stress, Talking to your Teens about Sex)
